The "Structure" of Man According to the Bible

To avoid taking a constructional view of man, and to better understand the roles of his body, soul, and spirit, we will take a different approach. We propose the idea of considering these and many other so-called "parts" of man as aspects, traits, characteristics, and illustrations of the God-like human personality.

First, we must mention the fact that the Bible speaks of two main aspects of man, which are presented in Scripture through various variations of stories about the body, soul, spirit, flesh, dust of the earth, and so on.

The Bible describes man as a transitional link—an "intercosm"—between two realities, or "cosmoses": God and the world. From the world, man has a living material body—a "living soul"; from God, he has a spirit. These stories about the spirit and the body are merely illustrations of man as the connecting link between God and the material world. Neither the spirit, nor the body, nor the "soul" are parts of man, but only the characteristics of his being. Man’s living body, made from the dust of the earth, indicates that man has something from the world in his nature, while his spirit indicates what he has received from God. Moreover, both divine life and the earthly, bodily "living soul" are not separate parts, but are far from exhaustive characteristics of the whole, simple, God-like man.

This also answers the question: can man be digitized? Can his consciousness be uploaded? Can consciousness transplantation be done? Is artificial intelligence possible?

From a Babylonian perspective, man is a material construct that can be modeled, imitated, assembled, and disassembled like a machine. Therefore, it is quite logical for the Babylonians to desire to digitize man as some kind of mechanical machine and, even more so, to create a machine that surpasses human intelligence.

According to Scripture, man, in his incomprehensibility and complexity, is close to God and surpasses the entire universe an infinite number of times. No pitiful computer or algorithm will ever come close to modeling man. Behind the guise of computers may hide, and indeed do hide, the devil and his earthly servants, creating the illusion of artificial intelligence, tempting people toward almost divine worship to this crypto-Satanic algorithm.
